Ironwood Daily Globe, Ironwood, Michigan, USA | News: "A playful cat summoned the Ironwood Public Safety Department fire truck Wednesday evening.

The department received a 6 p.m. call that a fire alarm had been activated in room 311 of Pioneer Park Apartments at 515 Vaughn St.

When officers arrived, they determined it wasn't a fire alarm but a call for assistance alert. No one answered an initial knock on the door, however.

When officers gained entry to the apartment, they discovered there was nobody there, except for a cat. It had been playing with the call for assistance electrical cord, activating the alarm.

Seven on-duty officers responded to the kitty call."
