Neighbors Rally To Save Trapped Cat
Justine demanded that I blog this - Neighbors Rally To Save Trapped Cat - CBS News: "Rescuers used drills, miniature cameras, cat food and even a raw fish in a desperate effort to entice an 11-month old cat named Molly from behind the basement wall of a Greenwich Village delicatessen where she has been trapped for 12 days."
When I was renovating my house, one of the cats found a way to get from the celler, where I had installed a cat door, up through the walls to the back of a closet. It would come in through an unfinished place at the back of the closet. I would hear meowing and when I opened the door, he would pop out, very pleased with himself.
It took me days to seal up all the openings in the cellar to keep the cat out of the walls.
When we put the second story onto the house, there was a hole in the ceiling that went into the old rafters and up into a space between the new second story and the old attic floor. Of course, a cat got in there, and he would not come out until he was hungry.
I recently re-did the stairs leading down to the front entrance way and a whole new generation of cats were dissapearing into the construction area only to appear in the cellar or wind up in the same closet. I think I have it under control again, but the cats will find a way if I missed something. They stick their noses in everywhere.
