A Babe in the Woods
Ollie has been a fiend. He is now interred permanently inside. Last week he ran off and we found two houses away standing near the road watching the cars whiz by at 40 mph and considering crossing. We've lost too many cats this way.
Today, when we were coming home from garage sailing he escaped and ran into the woods in the back and we could not catch him.
I mowed the lawn and then went out looking for him, crossing the neighbor's yards in the direction that he had gone the last time, but Erica called me back. She could see him in the woods.
I went back to see if I could catch him and this is what he was so interested in:
Well, we caught Ollie and did not touch the fawn. She is a day or so old and we saw the mother this morning. Deer leave their babes alone during the day and stay with them at night.
Here is the evil Ollie in custody again.
A close up of our woodsy new arrival.

I just noticed you never talk about Max. Is he OK? Also, how is Blue doing post-surgery?
Blue is just fine. There are no lingering effects of his operation other than he is slowly becoming less agressive with the other cats. As the testosterone leaves his system he is calming down.
Blue only likes Erica. He must have been mistreated by a man because he runs out of the room when I come in.
Max is very thin, but I've found that I can crush half a pepsid in his evening meal and he doesn't notice it. Pepsid is one of the best ways to control his chronic intestinal problems. We also give him pink antibiotic stuff that smells like bubble gum. He doesn't seem to get upset with that either.
Max has a glossy rich coat from all the extra vitamins that we give him. He is thin and lacks an appetite, but he is not dying on us just yet.
