Justine doesn't think that I post enough about my cats. I think that I have too many of them right now. I made a blog where I can post news about cats, either my own news or news from around the world.

Finally - some cat pictures

I got connected, temporarily, and I uploaded 35 pictures from the Nikon. The cat gallery software has stopped working, so I used the dreamweaver image page.

Click here for Cat Pictures from July and August.

That's Max on the left.

Some of the pictures are blurry or a mistake or not of cats, but I dumped them all.

Archie Moves In

The black stray cat, Archie, who has been living on out porch since last winter seems to have moved in. We had a wet and nasty weekend and Archie, who has come in to steal food from time to time, decided that he preferred the dry cellar to the wet and rainy outdoors. He waits at the top of the cellar stairs (there's a cat door in the cellar), and when we open the door, he runs in and eats from the cat bowls. He spent most of Sunday running around the house and annoying cats. He sometimes asks to go out or down the cellar stairs, but he comes right back.

We have to get him fixed soon or he will go off chasing a scent and we'll never see him again. He spits, however, when we get too close. He does not know about petting even though he watches the other cats sit on my lap and snuggle with Erica.

I was supposed to get up early this morning, catch him in a cage and take him to the vet. That's too much for me on a Monday morning - maybe next Monday.

In the mean time Archie is being cute. He loves playing with cat toys and he bumps his head against all the cats, much to their utter discust. He is reverting back to a kitten which is part of the domestication process. I hope that soon he will let us touch him.

I have a camera full of pictures, but the same old story - no way to upload them. Optonline.com had lowered their prices, but they went back up when AOL made the announcement about their desktop being free. Verizon will be in competition for cable TV in Clarkstown (where I live) and that should lead to some kind of price war. The problem with Verizon is that they have to dig a trench to do the install, and I don't want that.

J's Cat

J. Erwine has been spiralling down into blogger decadance since he quit the job from hell. Now, he's posting to blogger ever few hours, reading a bunch of blogs several times a day and even posting pictures of his cat! All of this when he should be finishing his novel.
Tsk! Tsk!

Cats are Coming

I dumped about 100 megs of images into my (Justine's) laptop. They are set to transfer to the blog as soon as I get a wifi connection. I have decided to order it this weekend, so hopefully next week you'll see something. They include a cute video of Furry tripping out on catnip.

Bob's Cat Passes

I talked to Bob last night. He's one of the poker boys. He has been trying to extend the life of his sick cat for several months. Every week Bob drove the cat upstate to get radiation treatment, but in the end the cancer was too aggressive and he slipped away.

It is awful when a friend dies. Some cats are special. I've had too many special cats who've died. Cats only live 10 or 12 years. With luck, they live a little longer, but I hate - really hate - outliving my best friends!

I hope Bob can recover from the lost. He was a very special cat.

Bob's note: His name is Alex or Al Cardelli. He was formerly a member of the Capone mob.

Cutest Kitten of All

My friends Don and Jean have adopted a beautiful little girl named Emily. Don writes:

Born July 9th, 5 lb 3 ounces and very cute. She came to live with us on July 24th and we haven't slept since.
I wish that I had more pictures, but I haven't had a chance to talk to them. Perhaps Don will stop by at Poker tonight. He might need the rest.
